Looking for a New Sleepaway Camp After the Iroquois Springs Sale?

Iroquois Springs recently announced that the summer of 2026 was its final summer. We know that finding a new camp is a big decision, and we’d love to speak with you as you consider options. A great sleepaway camp becomes a summer home, and no new camp can replace the history a camper has already built somewhere else. Camp Zeke is not affiliated with Iroquois Springs, but if your family is beginning to think about where your child might spend next summer, we would love to introduce you to our community. Some quick facts about Camp Zeke:
(1) Camp Zeke is a coed overnight camp in the Pocono Mountains. We offer three- and six-week sessions, and the vast majority of our families come back summer after summer as they deepen friendships and connections.
(2) Our campers come primarily from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the Washington, D.C., area, Florida, and other communities throughout the country.
(3) There is a lot about the Camp Zeke experience that will feel familiar to a camper who loves traditional sleepaway camp. Our campers swim and boat on our private lake, spend time at our heated pool, play all the traditional team sports, climb, zipline, hike, create art in our multiple art studios, perform in shows (like our full musical in theater and our spectacular circus show), dance, make music, cook, celebrate camp traditions, participate in special events, and spend their summers surrounded by best friends.
(4) Our schedule is built around choice. Campers design their days around the things they genuinely love doing. A camper who wants to spend the summer playing sports can do that. A camper who loves theater, circus, cooking, art, strength training, running, or waterfront activities can build a schedule around those interests. And a camper who wants to do a little of everything can do that too.
(5) Camp Zeke is also built around a very intentional culture. Kindness is our highest value. We talk about it constantly, recognize campers for demonstrating it, and expect it to shape the way campers and staff treat one another.
(6) While our community is rooted in Jewish values, we welcome kids and staff of all backgrounds, whether they are Jewish or aren’t.
(7) Perhaps most importantly for families making an unexpected camp transition, new campers join Camp Zeke at every age. This has been a feature of camp since Lisa, Isaac, and camp’s amazing leadership team founded the camp back in 2014. Our leadership team pays close attention to those transitions. We think carefully about bunk placement, friendships, personalities, and helping new campers become part of the community.
If your child loved Iroquois Springs, we would not presume to tell you that another camp can recreate that experience. Every great camp develops its own traditions, stories, friendships, and culture. But there can be another place where your child finds best friends, counts down the days until opening day, tries things they never thought they could do, stays up talking with bunkmates, celebrates traditions that eventually feel like their own, and comes home at the end of the summer already thinking about the next one.
