Campers learn foundational culinary theory, including how to combine ingredients, and they gain the skills to create their own recipes. In addition, they learn safety skills before diving into the culinary curriculum. This includes knife skills, among many other aspects of food safety. Campers gain skills in safe food handling, including the importance of proper storage, cooking on clean surfaces, sanitizing hands, covering hair, and related skills.
