Financial Aid: Facts & Figures

In a typical year, camp distributes over $400,000 in financial aid to about ¼ of our families.

Many families that receive financial aid earn more than $150,000 per year. There is no income cut-off to apply for financial aid.

Applying for financial aid is a discreet and confidential process. We do not consider financial aid requests when allocating space in camp.

Other Programs & Incentives

(1) In many communities, One Happy Camper takes $1,000 off the price of camp the first time a camper attends a three- or six-week session.

-This program is “need-blind” and not based on any kind of financial aid application.
-If you live in Greater MetroWest New Jersey, One Happy Camper takes $1,500 off (families must apply by 12/31).
-If you live in Rochester, One Happy Camper takes $1,800 off.

(2) If you have at least one Russian-Speaking Jewish parent in your household, there are additional grants available for three- or six-week sessions. Please contact us for details.

(3) To encourage early registrations, the price of camp is lower now than it will be next month. Please see the Dates and Rates page for this month’s incentive.

(4) Camp has numerous funding partners across the country, and our registrar works with families to identify other local discounts and incentive programs whenever possible.

Making Camp Affordable for Every Family

At Camp Zeke, we are committed to making sure the camp experience is totally affordable for every family. We want to make it a quick, easy, and confidential process to apply for financial aid.

First, you register for camp at campzeke.org/dates-rates. We take a deposit of $50 for scholarship applicants, and that deposit is totally refundable if our scholarship offer doesn’t work for you

Second, we will ask you to apply for One Happy Camper, which is a Foundation for Jewish Camp program that takes $1,000 off the price of camp. That funding will be in addition to your scholarship.

Third, we will send you our digital scholarship application, which takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once you send us back the scholarship application, we work on putting a fee reduction in place to ensure camp is totally affordable.

If we cannot come back with a reduced price that works for you, then you can withdraw the camp application with no questions asked (and a full refund of the deposit). However, we almost always meet our families’ financial needs and will ensure that the scholarship offer works for your family.

To ask a confidential question about our scholarship process, please contact our registrar, Barbara, at 212-913-9783 or barbara@campzeke.org.
